| Troubles & Woes |
I am not understanding this. I have been having a hard time writing this. I don't know if it is because of the story, because I got a job, or it's just this year. I haven't felt like writing most of this month. I haven't written for tens days this month. I have written for 14 days. I had two days where I wrote under 500 words. This year has been crazy.
As consulation, a lot of people have been having a hard time this year, but that is no excuse.
I was striving for 100,000 by the end of the month, but I don't think I am gonna make it, by the end of the month, maybe I can make it by the end of the year. That will be a cool goal.
I am gonna hustle to get 50,000. I need a little over 15,000 to make it and I have 6 days left, so I gotta hustle.
I try doing some word wars, but alot of times, they only last for 15 minutes at a time and they chat alot. It's hard to concentrate with that chat window blinking.

I wrote 344 words today. I didn't feel like writing. I write during the nap time of my students. I was about to go to sleep. The music (classical) wasn't helping me today, like it normally does.
I think it was because we are on break next week. YEA!!!

Well, I only wrote 1,078 words today. I didn't feel much like writing today.
On to better news, I went on an interview to be a Teacher's Aide earlier today.
It was for the school that I wanted to work at and in the classroom that I wanted to work in. Ain't God good. I didn't even pray about it. I just mentioned it to God in passing, "Lord, I would like to work in this classroom."
Excuse me... Praise break.
Back to my story... Well, I heard a few hours later that I got the job.
Excuse me... Another Praise break.
So, I will substitute next week and start officially on the Monday after Thanksgiving.
None of this has anything to do with NaNo, but I can't miss an opportunity to praise my God.

Today was good. I participated in some word wars. That is fun. You type for a certain amount of time. When the time is up, you see who has the most words. It is cool. I got 7,164 words. I am over 25,000 words. YEA!!

| Day Four |
Today was hard. I wrote 2,535 words. I made myself write this much so that my word count would be up-to-date. By Day 4, I am supposed to have 13,600 words. I have 13,876 words. Yea!

| Day Three |
Today was hard to write. I took Airborn two days in a row. Today, I forgot to take it today. Guess what happened, I ended up with a runny nose and cough. I didn't feel like writing.
I wrote 1,925 words this morning.
When I got home from work, I went straight to bed.

| Day One |
Well, I finally finished today's writing. I ended up with 5,329 words. This is past my goal of 3,400/day to reach 100,000 at the end. Yea!
I started out at Starbuck's this morning around 9:00. It was packed up in the one I went to. I worked pretty good until 10:30, when I had to go to the restroom. I had to pack up everything and go to the restroom. I had to pack up and leave by then. I had a little over 2400 words by then.
I typed like 1200 more words while I was waiting for my husband to get off from work.
I came home and had a hard time typing tonight. There were too many distractions. I finally had to put on my headphones and finish up.
I was trying to finish up a scene. I finished it up.

| Kick-Off Party In Irving |
I went to the Kick-Off party at Crystal's Pizza tonight. It was so cool. I got to meet some cool people. I even got a couple of grab bags. I got a bunch of candy. I got a ant ring and my husband got a dragonfly ring.
The kick-off party was nice.

| Reward System |
I have devised a REWARD system for myself when I accomplish any goal that is NaNo related. For the pre-NaNo things, I am putting smiley face stickers on my laptop.
For my NaNo novel, Allegations, I am putting accomplishment word stickers on my laptop. When I reach the following levels (25,000, 50,000, and 75,000), I am going to treat myself to a catfish dinner. (I love me some catfish.) :)

| About Ready To Scream |
I am about ready to scream. I can't spell for one thing. I look at three or four of my entries and there were all kinds of spelling errors in them. Although I was on the big computer last night and the vowels stick on that thing. I need to clean the keyboard. My laptop is moving so slowly that I am about ready to throw it somewhere. My husband is in the computer room with me and he told me not to throw it, so I won't. But excuse me while I scream... AAWWWWWWW! Ok, that felt good. I added more characters to my list of characters. I have some more that I am coming up with as I am doing the outline for my novel. As I am outlining, things are getting interesting. This is going to be fun to write. I think it is going to be a good read as well. Ok, so I am not following my plan. Outlining is no where on the list. | My NaNo Summary |
I am a copycat. Alot of people @ the NaNoWriMo Community have been doing this, so here I go.
2004 - Captive By History - 35,431 - This is the story of Kourtnee Adams and Colt Austin. They met in college and dated for awhile. They had to break-up after Kourtnee became the vice-president of Shimmers, Inc. and Colt was working at the company. The story looks at how their love life developed.
2005 - Flirting With Danger - 97,189 - This is story about Dianne and MaClandon. MaClandon is the son of one of he biggest bishop's in the city. Dianne is recently saved, six years older than MaClandon, and a former stripper. This story follows Dianne's transformation as a Christian and Dianne and MaClandon's relationship.
2006 - Allegations - x - This is the story of Jasmine and DeAndre (cousins). Someone goes to DeAndre's pastor and tells the pastor that DeAndre is gay. The pastor asks various people at the church if Deandre is gay rather than asking DeAndre or his cousin. The rumor spreads all over the church. | Trying To Keep Busy |
This is the first time that I have paid attention to NaNo this early. Usually, I don't think about it until the third week of October.
I am having to keep myself busy with things so that I won't unconciously write the novel in my head.
